Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
Prepare and submit tax filings, including GST/SST, corporate tax, and withholding tax, ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax regulations.
Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate cash flow management.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other relevant laws.
Provide support in financial decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) is preferred.
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in Malaysia.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
