**Job Description:**
As an Accountant at YTL Corporation Berhad, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the company. This part-time position is perfect for individuals looking to kick-start their career in finance and accounting. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, helping to ensure that our financial records are accurate and up to date.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **General Ledger Management:**
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by accurately recording financial transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. **Accounts Payable and Receivable:**
- Assist in processing invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Help manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections of outstanding debts.
3. **Financial Reporting:**
- Prepare basic financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations.
4. **Bank Reconciliation:**
- Help in reconciling bank statements with accounting records to ensure accuracy.
5. **Data Entry and Documentation:**
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
- Input financial data into accounting software and ensure data integrity.
6. **Compliance and Audit Support:**
- Assist in compliance with relevant financial regulations and laws.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits as required.
7. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Work closely with other team members and departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to gather relevant financial information.
**Requirements:**
- **Education:** A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Candidates currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field will also be considered.
- **Experience:** No prior professional experience is required; however, internships or relevant coursework will be advantageous.
- **Personality Traits:**
- Dedicated and hardworking with a strong commitment to quality work.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to engage in strategic planning to enhance financial processes.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks) is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
