Job Description:
British American Tobacco Malaysia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Accountant, working from home. As an Entry Level Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks to support the company's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare financial reports for management review
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Provide support for audits and tax filings
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Confidence in handling financial data and making decisions
- Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively
- No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow in the role
