**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Invoicing:** Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and external regulations.
- **Payment Tracking:** Monitor and track incoming payments, applying them to customer accounts accurately and promptly.
- **Collections:** Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices via phone, email, or face-to-face engagements to encourage timely payment and resolve any discrepancies or concerns.
- **Account Reconciliation:** Assist in reconciling customer accounts by maintaining up-to-date records of transactions, payments, and balances.
- **Reporting:** Prepare and maintain reports on AR aging, cash flow, and collections metrics for management review.
- **Customer Support:** Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding invoices, payment statuses, and account issues, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and people management skills.
- **Documentation:** Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files, ensuring proper documentation for all transactions and correspondence.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with other departments, including sales, customer service, and finance, to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any interdepartmental issues related to accounts receivable.
- **Continuous Improvement:** Proactively contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounts receivable function to enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
**Requirements:**
- **Education:** A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
- **Experience:** No prior experience required; we welcome recent graduates and entry-level candidates.
- **Technical Skills:** Basic knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook); familiarity with accounting software is a plus but not mandatory.
