Assistant Finance Manager

Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting currently for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our team in Malaysia. This position will report to the Operations Manager locally and functionally report to the Financial Controller based in Singapore.

Our successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of the finance function and interface with other disciplines like Commercial, Cost control, Procurement, and client operations.

Key responsibilities:

- Handle full set of the accounts, including AR/AP, GL and monthly reporting.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of financial results and the preparation of forecast and other financial analyses
- Liaise with auditor and tax agent, handle tax audit matters.
- Ensure that processes and documentation of Finance Function are in compliant with Group policy.
- Review of Revenue Recognition and Profit Recognition to ensure compliance with Corporate policy and IFRS15.

Skills / Qualifications

- Degree in Accountancy.
- 2 years experience in large public accounting firm ( preferably)
- 2 years experience in a large multinational company with experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Analytical, hands on and people oriented
- Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
- Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to win
- Ability to promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork
