About the roleWe are seeking a passionate and drivenAssistant Manager, Procurementto join our team atF&N AgriValley Sdn BhdinGemas, Negeri Sembilan .
This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
The Assistant Manager, Procurement is responsible for supporting the procurement function in sourcing goods and services for the organization.
This role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
What you'll be doing:
Sourcing and Vendor Management:Conduct market research and identify potential suppliers for various goods and services.
Evaluate supplier performance based on factors such as price, quality, delivery time, and service.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Manage supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.Procurement Processes:Manage the procurement process from requisition to receipt, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Review and approve purchase orders.
Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
Resolve procurement-related issues and discrepancies.Cost Control and Savings:Identify and implement cost-saving measures, such as negotiating better prices, consolidating purchases, and exploring alternative sourcing options.
Analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs.Supply Chain Management:Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and operations, to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
Monitor inventory levels and identify potential supply chain disruptions.
Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks, such as supplier disruptions, quality issues, and price fluctuations.
Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
Reporting and Analysis:Generate regular reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare presentations and reports for management on procurement-related issues.Team Management:May supervise a team of procurement specialists or buyers.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Monitor team performance and ensure that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.What we're looking for:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in themanufacturing, dairy farming, transport and logisticsindustry.
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
Strong knowledge ofpurchasing, procurement, and inventory managementbest practices.
Proven track record of driving cost savings and operational efficiency.
Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team.
