About the RoleThe Enterprise & Application Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing high-level strategies/solution.
The talent is responsible for creating architecture blueprints that guide the development and integration of Swift-wide systems and applications, optimizing efficiency, scalability, and security.
The talent is also responsible to provide expert input to the IT/Networking strategy to ensure that the technical options are in line with the company strategy.
In the talent's quality of Application architect, the talent is also an expert in a specific domain to assist the tribe with all architectural matters.This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across departments and levels.What to expect?Conduct strategic analysis of architecture improvements, models and new products.
These analyses will be conducted in liaison with other architects, product owners, customers and third-party suppliers.Provide expert technical assistance during design activities and to resolve issues ensuring design alignment within and cross "Tribes".Contribute to Enterprise level with the EA Architects.
Contribute to the governances and best practices, identification and principle for reusability, elaboration of taxonomy and classification.Provide technical support to the Pivotal initiatives and large programs.
Contribute to the Architecture Review Board process.Participate to technology assessments, Proofs-of-Concept, and support technology selection.Maintain advanced knowledge of architecture technologies and future industry trends.Participate in the review of existing implementation with the goal to further improve on the non-functional requirements such as resilience, performance and maintainability of the solution.Assess new requests to derive budget (Capex/Opex) assumptions based on complexity.What will make you successful?Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.6 to 8+ years of experience with 3 of them in Architecture or similar technical role and demonstrable track record in the following:Technical strategy and design patternsAbility to articulate a big picture and map to next level of detail, as well as synthesize a big picture from diverse componentsProblem solving attitude and ability to conduct technical analysisStrong writing and verbal skills including design documentation, collaborator presentations, tailoring communication to audienceStrong interpersonal skills, customer centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity.Demonstrated ability to learn new technology and adopt it, and knowledge of industry trendsDedicated, and a good great teammate, comfortable working collaboratively with diverse local and remote teams in different time zones.The following skills will be considered beneficial:Practical working experience in an Agile driven team.Architecture certificationsBusiness analysis experienceDatabase technology (including relational, NO SQL) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)Security: PKI, PKCS, TLS, HSM, SAML, OAuth etc.Container strategy and related security including Docker, Open-Shift/KubernettesCloud strategy and related securityFamiliarity or experience with data ingestion architectural pattern with big data technologies (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana and Kafka) will be an advantage.Familiarity or experience with SOA technologies such as micro-services, REST is a plus.Familiarity or experience with CICD principles.Development and Deployment know-how.
