This person will drive growth of SPGCI products and services by developing and enhancing relationships with executives and decision makers at primary accounts and with the end goal of increasing value and customer satisfaction. The Associate, Commercial Manager will also be responsible for executing strategic commercial and go-to-market plans to result in successfully retaining and growing customer portfolio in the company.In this role, the Senior Commercial Manager will also have the following responsibilities:Manage and renew existing clients.Identify and initiate new client relationships within existing accounts.Develop and nurture deep and strong relationships with client organizations, addressing their needs, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction (NPS).Produce accurate sales forecasting and keep an up-to-date pipeline, contacts and meeting notes in SalesForce CRM system.Stay current on competitor offerings to identify the strengths and vulnerabilities of S&P Global Commodity Insights offerings in comparison.Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of industry requirements, market trends and client requirements.Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with clients and prospects.Work with sales specialists, other functions and channel partners where required to proactively address customer requirements.Develop and maintain territory and account plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis.**What we're looking for**: Experience managing regional and / or complex accounts, preferably in the Upstream and Commodities market segment, a proven sales track record, strong knowledge in the energy market, and / or commodities.**Basic Qualifications**:Degree with minimum two to five years of successful sales experience managing major or complex accounts, preferably in commodity or energy provider role.Consultative sales and negotiation skills experience, possess high integrity and is proficient to all phases of selling cycle from need creation, proposal preparation, negotiation to deal closure.Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, adds value to the relationship by distilling, summarizing, interpreting and communicating information to facilitate its usefulness.Proven leadership in managing multi-national global and/or strategic accounts, multi-cultural awareness and regional experience is preferred.Very strong planning and organization skills, able to prioritize.Competent with systems (Salesforce/ Equivalent CRM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)**Preferred Qualifications**:Degree and / or other business discipline / trainingStrong planning and organization skills Salesforce/ Equivalent CRM, Work, Excel and PowerPointAbout S&P Global Commodity InsightsAt S&P Global Commodity Insights, our complete view of global energy and commodities markets enables our customers to make decisions with conviction and create long-term, sustainable value.We're a trusted connector that brings together thought leaders, market participants, governments, and regulators to co-create solutions that lead to progress.
