Lalamove is strategically expanding its operations into Kuching, Sarawak, and we are actively seeking a proficient and experienced Business Development Associate to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in corporate sales and on-ground sales experience, along with a proven track record of navigating projects within governmental frameworks. While experience in government sales is valued, primary emphasis will be placed on corporate sales expertise. This role offers a compelling opportunity to contribute significantly to establishing Lalamove's presence in Kuching while driving business growth within the region.What you'll doBusiness Development:Execute the sales process meticulously, from lead generation to closure, effectively communicating the value proposition of Lalamove's products and services to corporate clients.
Identify and cultivate opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with corporate entities, agencies, and projects, prioritizing corporate sales channels.
Develop tailored strategic business plans and proposals focused on corporate ventures, aligning with Lalamove's overarching business objectives.
Utilize on-ground sales experience to drive client acquisition and revenue growth within the corporate sector.
Market Research and Analysis:Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities and understand the competitive landscape in Kuching and its surroundings, with a specific focus on corporate clients.
Gather insights into corporate client needs, preferences, and behaviors to inform product development and marketing strategies effectively.
Relationship Management:Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential corporate clients, including businesses, corporations, SMEs, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and support, ensuring high client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
Government Relations (supplementary):Develop and maintain enduring relationships with key government stakeholders in Kuching, including local authorities, tender committees, and relevant ministries, as a supplementary aspect of the role.
Serve as a liaison between Lalamove and government entities, fostering positive relationships to support organizational objectives, when necessary.
Stay informed about relevant logistical tenders and ad-hoc requests from various government stakeholders, ensuring proactive responsiveness and alignment with Lalamove's strategic goals.
What we seekProven ability to successfully manage corporate sales projects and partnerships.
Experience in government sales, tenders and collaboration will be an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong strategic thinking abilities, with a knack for identifying opportunities and driving results in dynamic environments.
Self-motivated, proactive, and adept at creative problem-solving.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; proficiency in Chinese dialect or other local dialects is advantageous.
Willingness to travel within Sarawak and occasionally beyond.
What you'll needBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
