Business Development Manager

Job Summary This position will contribute to the companys revenue and help maximize profitability by implementing strategic and tactical marketing and sales programs and materials to expand brand presence and drive business objectives.
As part of the cross-functional team, this position will provide input into the strategic and tactical plan.
This position is also responsible for international sales and business development.
Responsibility Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities locally and internationally.
An individual contributor who cultivates relationships and develops pharmaceutical and life science leads; works with principals and internal teams to further refine patient needs and develop project specifications; delivers proposals and closes business.
Analyze potential opportunities and develop sales plans for each target segment.
Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to customer.
Monitor actions and results against plans.
Develop, coordinate, and implement sales plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities on route to achieving the mutually agreed upon revenue targets.
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within principals or manufacturers.
Aggressively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-award tender.
Serves as the point of contact with pharmaceutical manufacturers locally and internationally, including negotiation of the agreement.
Manage internal operational follow-up activities leading up to and including submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs), and final contracts and work orders.
Work with the senior manager to develop multi-channel trade communication plans, using insightful analytics of performance and aligning with brand activity to deliver tailored comms suitable for the message being delivered.
Collaborates with marketing intelligence resources to read and report activities results and provide recommendations and forecasts.
Supports local teams in the execution of the activities and in achieving their sales and budget objectives, while ensuring the desired product benefits and brand values/equity are properly communicated.
Works within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service.
Handling the local project management to support the growth of the organization and working closely with the medical agency or association to build KOL that helps to escalate brand awareness.
