Responsibilities:Conducting regular vehicle checks, including fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake fluid), tire pressure, and battery condition.
Performing basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tyre rotations, and brake pad checks.
Ensuring that vehicles meet company safety and performance standards.
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace for efficient workflow.
Identifying common vehicle issues and reporting findings to the senior technician or supervisor.
Managing inventory for commonly used items (e.g., filters, fluids, tools) and ensuring availability for scheduled maintenance.
Performing final checks and test drives to verify that repairs and maintenance are completed to specification.Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement: Secondary school education, ideally with a focus on vocational studies in automotive or mechanical fields.
Preferred Qualification: Certificate or diploma in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of automotive maintenance, including knowledge of engines, brakes, transmissions, and electronic systems.
Familiarity with common tools and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle servicing.
1-2 years of hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance or repair can be advantageous.
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for handling tools and performing repairs.
Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy vehicle parts as necessary.
Willingness to work in various physical conditions, including kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Possession of a valid driver's license is often required to test-drive vehicles and move them around the workshop area.
