Job Description
- Assisting the Manager-in-charge in managing Cash Operations units
- Assist the Manager to develop, recommend and execute business plans for team
- Exhibits full knowledge and thorough understanding of the entire cash operations function
- Ensure good control and compliance to corporate policies and regulatory requirements which are relevant to Operations
- Risk Management - local focus on controls, manual processing, and continuous improvement
- Keeps abreast of new regulations ,policies, new/changes in applications and their implications for assigned area
- Working as cross functional team with peers such as other operations teams, technology, sales, product , CSU, ORM, Finance, compliance, hubs and other operations groups at strategic level.
- Perform regular review on Standard Operating Procedures in Banking Ops
- Support local working committee to comply with regulator such as LOC, LRR, etc.
- Participate in Industry forum including meetings with Regulators and industry participants
- Maintain relationships with local banks and regulator for operations purposes
- Coordination of Business Continuity Plan
Operation Support Specific:
- Assist Manager in managing the daily operations in line with regulations and firm's policy
- Responsible for the direction and training of subordinate team leaders
- Maintain teamwork and healthy working environment
- Work on automation project to create efficiency and reduce operation cost
- Review and approve transactions within established limits and obtain approval for those beyond the limits from higher management
- MIS reporting/financial management of local operating budget
- Day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the execution of complex transactions
Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/ Business Administration or related degree
- Minimum 10 years in Operations
- Proven ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to motivate and build a cohesive team for achieving department goals and objectives
- Possess good people management and leadership skills
- Effective delegating, planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines and team objectives
- Ability to identify opportunities and promptly initiate action and escalate potential risks to minimize operational & financial loss.
- Understanding of and experience in FEA, payment, deposit, liquidity and etc.
- Understanding on rules and regulation relevant to the Banking Ops, i.e. Bank Negara Rules and Guidelines, Myclear Procedure and Rules
- Ability to communicate proactively and openly with internal business partners and client to support business
- Demonstrate ability to implement and manage change
- Adaptability in maintaining best standards practice and adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes or requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Implement technology as tools of automation to reduce manual process
