IT The Client Engineer- Application Packager Analyst role is essential in ensuring the reliability and performance of our application packaging processes and related client services.
The primary goal of the role is twofold: Firstly, is to support all new BAU and project related application packaging and deployment across our global locations. Secondly is to support the current planning, installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of application packages to ensure continuous high performance.
The role will support the Software Asset Management & Packaging Manager and broader IT Service Management function with the daily service requests, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration within Johnson Matthey's IT environment and reporting.

Your responsibilities: Create, test, and deploy application packages, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration within Johnson Matthey's IT Manage the planning, installation, ongoing management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of application packages to ensure continuous high performance. Perform detailed analysis and troubleshooting of application packaging issues, implementing standardized and approved resolutions to maintain operational efficiency. Collaborate with Level 3 support teams to update and maintain comprehensive documentation. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to disseminate best practices and technical insights among colleagues. Adhere to company policies, standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain the integrity of IT operations. Requirements for the role: Proven experience in application packaging and deployment. Proficiency in tools such as SCCM, MSI, and App-V. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript). Excellent documentation and communication skills. Self-motivated, with a "can do" attitude and comfortable working with ambiguity and is a team player.
