Job ResponsibilitiesWrite and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) based on technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications.
Design the machining process flow, creating a structured plan for how parts or components will be manufactured using CNC machines.
Select appropriate clamping methods and design CNC clamping fixtures based on the part's geometry and material to ensure secure and stable fixation of the workpiece during machining.
Set up CNC machines and prepare them for production runs, including loading raw materials, securing workpieces, and configuring machine settings.
Conduct test runs to ensure program correctness and machine functionality.
Operate CNC machines during production runs, monitoring machine operations, adjusting settings as necessary, and troubleshooting issues to maintain quality and productivity.
Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances, surface finish requirements, and overall quality standards.
Adjust CNC programs and machine settings to correct deviations or defects.
Maintain accurate records of CNC programs and tool lists in CMS or shared folders.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in CNC machining operations.
Provide accurate cost estimates, technical assessments, and propose optimal machining operations that align with customer requirements.
Ensure that quotations are competitive, realistic, and reflective of the capabilities of the manufacturing facility.
Perform other job functions deemed necessary by management.
Skills RequirementsDiploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Certification or formal training in CNC programming and machining operations is highly advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Esprit Cam, Mastercam) for programming CNC machines.
In-depth knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in machining operations.
