Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the countries strategy in alignment with the global vision and goals.
Identify new business opportunities and expansion avenues within the country.
Implement long-term and short-term business plans to increase market share.
Report on financial, operational, and strategic performance to senior management.
Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the business in the country, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Manage and optimize internal processes to enhance productivity and minimize costs.
Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including tax, labor, and safety regulations.
Coordinate between different departments (sales, marketing, finance, HR) to ensure smooth operations.
Financial Management: Take responsibility for the P&L (Profit and Loss) of the country operation.
Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Prepare and manage the countries budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
Team Management & Development: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of employees to achieve individual and organizational goals.
Recruit, train, and develop talent to build a strong local workforce.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
Market Development: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve.
Lead sales and marketing teams in creating effective campaigns and promoting the company's brand.
Build and nurture relationships with key clients, government bodies, and strategic partners.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular reports on business performance, sales, and market developments for senior management.
Ensure that all company operations comply with local regulations and corporate policies.
Handle negotiations with local suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure effective contracts and partnerships.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior management role, experience in a country or regional leadership role is prefer.
Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
Proven track record of driving business growth in a competitive market.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Knowledge of the local market, regulatory environment, and business landscape in any countries.
Fluency in Chinese, English, and local languages (Bahasa Malaysia).
