Job Description
- A generalist who can fit into many roles and teams to help others make data-driven decisions.
- Data Analyst delivers value by taking data, using it to answer questions and communicate the results to help make business decisions.
- Build and optimize the systems that allow data scientist and analysts to perform their work. Ensures data is properly received, transformed, stored, and made accessible to other users.
- Leans heavier in software development skillset.
- Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
- Managing users and user roles.
- Provide quality assurance of imported data.
- Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
- Helping develop reports and analysis.
- Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
- Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
- Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems.
- Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.
- Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
- Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
- Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs.
- Defining new data collection and analysis processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, Data Management or a related field.
- Experience in Analytics Solution. Preferable Microsoft Technology Stacks, MySQL Database, R/Python Programming, Tableau, Cognos, D3.js.
- Data Management Skill. Metadata Design.
- Data ETL Skill and Backend system integration.
- Statistical Toolsets. E.g., MATLAB, Gorubi, RapidMiner.
- Depending on the project stage and scope, travel to our plants (Perak;Johor etc) may be required.
