Ensure effective teaching and management of classes, groups, and individuals so that objectives are met, progress and challenge are maintained, and the best use is made of teaching timeSet high expectations for pupils' behavior, establishing, and maintaining a good standard of behaviorManagement through focused teaching and create positive and productive relationships in accordance with the rules and behavior policy of the schoolIdentify clear teaching objectives, content, structures, and sequences of lessons appropriate to the educational needs of the pupilsSet appropriate, yet challenging expectations for pupils' learning, building on prior attainment in identifying pupils who may need additional support by giving positive and needed support. Ensuring that planning shows a clear understanding of the Year group expectations and leads to progression within lessons and over sequences of lessonsTo assess pupils' achievements and progresses in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. Implement Assessment of Learning (AfL) approach to evaluate how well learning objectives are/have been achieved and adapt future teaching and learning accordinglyMark and monitor pupils' class and homework providing constructive oral and written feedback, providing focus for pupils' progress to ensure they meet individual and Year group targetsUnderstand the needs to take responsibility for own professional development, updating with research and developments in pedagogy as relevant to their curriculum teamUnderstand professional responsibilities in relations to school policies and procedures, make the most of professional development opportunities provided by reflecting through teaching critically and use this to improve teachingManaging and Developing Relations within the School Interact on a professional level with academic and administrative colleagues to establish productive working relationshipsPrepare and present informative reports to parents in a professional manner. Facilitate parental engagement by ensuring Home Learning tasks detail how parents can assist their children and prepare presentations for parental groups whenever is requiredSelect appropriate resources to support learners in achieving teaching objectives and resources to add practical activities and create interest for learnersTo vary teaching techniques and resources/materials to suit learning styles, motivation levels, needs and capabilities of the studentsAct as a role model to the pupils, meeting the statutory responsibilities and company policies with regards to the Health and Safety. To take up any other duties considered necessary as allocated by the PrincipalCo-operate with the Principal and other teachers on the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, methods of teaching and assessment and pastoral arrangements.Be a good listener and advisor to students when they need help in educational perspectivePrepare weekly and/or monthly reports to the Principal on teaching progress, students' progress and also any difficulties faced for brain storming and solution finding or decision making purposesTo provide ideas or suggestions for better teaching and student learningBased on the qualification, foundation and experience, to take up additional teaching subjects whenever there is a need which is being assigned by the PrincipalCreate test papers to cater for student examinations. Develop scheme of work and submit such when required.Write lesson plans and submit them on weekly basic to the school Principal.Take up additional tasks as in relation to the period and time when such task is required.
