Job Summary Assist in promoting the development of radio broadcasting services and digital broadcasting services in Malaysia to ensure continuous growth and sustainability as part of national objectives to establish Malaysia as a major global centre and hub for communications and multimedia information and content services.
Job Responsibilities Assist to formulate frameworks, programs for the implementation and awareness of radio broadcasting services and any new digital services/next generation technologies such as 5G broadcasting, Augmented Intelligence (Al), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and digital radio broadcasting;Liaise and facilitate industry to evaluate/study viability and potential of future broadcast technologies for radio;Undertake research and report on trends, development, and innovation in broadcasting services worldwide that could be adopted by industry players to successfully reach their target audience, grow viewership and improve the sustainability of the industry;Promote the usage and adoption of the relevant standards/technology amongst industry players through a conducive regulatory environment;Liaise and coordinate with broadcast industry players to formulate, facilitate and implement programs based on feasible timelines;Assist to monitor and facilitate market and industry readiness in adopting new digital services and distribution platforms; andAssist to prepare papers to seek management approval on new technology initiatives and other digital broadcasting development areas as and when necessary.Qualification and Work Experience Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Communication Engineering or Information Technologies (IT) or equivalent from a reputable university with a minimum CGPA of 3.0; andMinimum 2 years' experience in radio broadcast and content industry or equivalentOther Attributes Technical CompetenciesStrong knowledge in broadcast engineering skills and management.Strong knowledge and ability to always keep updated with the latest technologies and trends in the Broadcast Industry.Continuous learning and staying abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices. Broadcasting Regulatory experience.Basic IT knowledge.
