GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB The position relates to overseeing daily center's facilities, projects and biomedical engineering works, commissioning new projects for operations and ensuring all maintenance aspects are being monitored, checked and run reliably to avoid any business disruptions. Position is responsible for the planning of the yearly Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) Master List and ensure these PPMs are carry out according to the schedule either In-house or Contract-out. He/she is to supervise all activities in the department and verify all vendors' Service Reports and Invoices before submitting to Senior Manager, Biomedical, Facility & Special Projects. He/she is to supervise all biomedical related activities/issues functionally and support a decision making for Senior Manager, Facility, Special Projects & Biomed. He/she is to strictly adhere to all the policies and processes set-up in DaVita policy and procedure (P&P), MSQH and other requirement provided by relevant government authority. He/she is responsible to provide input thought creative thinking or brainstorming to resolve issues and working towards the company's targets and objective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. To oversee daily center's projects, facilities and biomedical engineering works by communicating closely with Regional Operation Manager (ROM), Facility Administrator (FA) and other staffs in the center on the matter arisingTo prepare a systematic program for the repair, service and replacement of the assets including centerTo plan, develop, implement and monitor the yearly Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Planed Corrective Maintenance (PCM) programs for all the Biomedical engineering maintenance services (BEMS) and Facility engineering maintenance services (FEMS) in the center. And make all effort to ensure the completion of all PPM before or on its due date, and update or reschedule the work if necessary with proper documentationTo respond to all BEMS and FEMS work requests within the specified time frame stated in the P&P, and determine the best corrective action for the particular repair work so as to maintain high equipment uptimeTo perform corrective actions or equipment breakdown repair works on all facility and biomedical assets of the center and any other equipment that is used in the center. Ensuring they are safe to be operated by user and use on patientsTo monitor inventory for all the Facility and Biomedical Equipment's in the Centers and to be responsible in updating new equipment and maintain the inventory listTo supervise and follow-up all work done by equipment distributors/contract vendors. And verify vendor's corrective or PPM works are acceptable to DaVita center by signing off the Job Sheets or Service Reports after the end-user acceptance of the satisfactory work done on the equipmentTo inform and follow up closely with equipment vendors for getting their quick response to any equipment breakdown that needs attention and implement best possible ways to safe guard the centre Biomedical assets and equipment uptimeTo guide and coaches other staff in the center and HQ office, and to conduct or coordinate with equipment vendor for technical training for equipment users, especially regarding biomedical engineering worksTo respond with similar manner to any Work Request after office hour or during Public Holiday and standby as per superior's requestTo strictly adhere to all of DaVita P&P and ensure all P&P are followed without compromise the DaVita interest. To support Senior Manager, Facility, Special Projects & Biomed to revise all P&P as neededTo undertake any other duties as assigned by superior from time to time and does not exclude other occasional work assignment not mentioned; i.e. to prepare Purchase Requisition, traveling out for spare parts purchase, getting loaned equipment or center documentsTo provide necessary assistance and support for newly center set-up, relocation and expansion of the center in MalaysiaTo provide support as needed to the team, especially during preparation for key milestones, audits, meetings, and documentationsTo accept travel outstations on short notice as required by the supervisorTo performance Plan Preventive Maintenance (PPM), repairs, adjustments, calibration and safety testing on Hemodialysis equipment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required. Bachelor's degree/diploma in related area required Mechanical & Electrical, Construction Management or ArchitecturalMinimum of three (3) years' working experience, preferably from a dialysis service provider or hospital facility & biomedical management role with such as running projects on site, inspection for testing and commissioning and handling contractual mattersFamiliar with local authorities and municipal licensingExperience with entire process of biomedical engineering worksExperience with entire process of construction and renovation interior fit-out works, M&E worksFamiliar with clinical requirements (MOH) is an added advantageFamiliar with clinical areas and/or Biomedical equipment is an add advantage
Advance computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required; intermediate skills and proficiency in MS Word, OutlookExcellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
