Finance Assistant Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Financial Reporting:
Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards (as issued by MASB) and other relevant accounting standards where applicable, including IRB requirements.Prepare, review and analyse financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cash Flow statements).Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly and annual). 2. Accounting Operations:
Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and other daily operations of the Accounting Department.Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.Be able to handle Asset Management.Bank in supplier cheque & TT, thereafter email the receipt.Loan & HP repaymentOffice Bills & insurance payment 3. Compliance and Audit:
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations and tax laws.Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assists in the preparation of audit documentations. Able to prepare tax returns, which is in compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements of IRB (Inland Revenue Board). CORE SKILLS: Excellent mathematical and accounting knowledgeStrong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detailAbility to multitask, prioritize and manage time skills Excellent verbal and written communication skillsGood time management and organizational skillsAbility to work in fast paced deadline oriented situation.Ability to maintain confidential information with the highest degree of integrity QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.Three (3) years previous experience as account senior executive or in similar post, having supervisory or managerial role.Solid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirement, financial reporting, processes, policy, and systems.Proficient computer skills in accounting software (SQL or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Effective communication skills, both verbal and written (Preferred languages are English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese).
