Randstad is partnering with a reputable group, listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, specializing in fashion retail. In light of an expansion to their finance team, the team is looking to hire a Group Accountant to join them in their office in Selangor. Reporting to the CFO, the role encompasses overseeing, managing, and leading the Group's accounting and financial reporting functions, Bursa reporting, and group consolidation.About the Job
Financial Reporting:Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly consolidated financial statements, Bursa quarterly announcements, and annual audited financial reports. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.Financial Close Coordination:Plan and manage the monthly Group-wide financial close timetable. Track submission accuracy and timeliness from all entities and lead the monthly consolidation process.Quarterly Reports:Coordinate the preparation of Quarterly Reports, including materials for the Board of Directors, and assist in preparing investor relation briefing materials.Policy Compliance:Ensure adherence to accounting policies, statutory requirements, and other financial regulations at the Group level.Annual Reports and Business Plans:Support the preparation of the Annual Report and contribute to the Group's annual business plan and budgeting, focusing on consolidated data.Audit and Tax Support:Assist in annual audit processes and liaise with external and internal auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.Process Improvement:Drive process improvements, including integrating financial reporting for newly acquired companies, enhancing existing consolidation processes, and automating budget preparation.Ad-hoc Duties:Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CFO to support departmental objectives.Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, CPA, MICPA, or CIMA required.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, must have prior experience preparing group consolidation and Bursa reports.
Audit background is required; retail industry experience is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare, check, and balance financial transactions and accounts.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS/MFRS accounting standards.
Proficient in ERP or Accounting software.
