The Intel Module Repair (IMR) Technician is responsible for technical functions in support of operational activities to deliver significant cost savings through lowest cost module and board repairs for FSM, ATM and TD with major repair operations in Arizona and Kulim Malaysia.
The candidate is responsible to support development of new modules/board for repair and refurbishment in support of factory tools and cost savings measures. He/she is expected to be able to do research, reverse engineering, analysis, hands-on lab work, documentation, integrates and coordinates multiple schedules to ensure the timely completion of several independent projects.
The person will also responsible for maintaining innovative ergo, safety, quality, defect reduction, new equipment/part design and manufacture, part life extension and performance improvement solutions in support of factory initiatives.
The development project cycle includes:
- Understand failure mode & customer requirements
- Physical module teardowns and rebuilds (e.g. vacuum valves, RF module, robotics, mechanical devices)
- Determine & validate failure root cause.
- Development of test solutions (hardware & software) by partnering with internal & external team.
- Coaching & training of repair technician.
- Development of specs and procedures & White Papers.

Qualifications
Diploma in Engineering discipline: Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical
5+ years working in related field: development, PM, troubleshooting, defect analysis
Prefer direct manufacturing and HVM experience, development and solving problems through a structured approach
Ability to perform complex data analysis (regression, matching, FMEA, commonality, MTBF, Quality Metrics) for mechanical, electrical, RF or robotic device operation
Demonstrated aptitude in Electro-Mechanical/Mechanical devices with experience in design, set-up and troubleshooting is a plus
Implementation of operational efficiency & LEAN experience.
