Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Siemens Digital Industry Software works collaboratively with companies to deliver open solutions to help them make smarter decisions that result in better products.As a Principal Infrastructure Architect resource and part of a Professional Services team, the person will work productively with Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives.**Responsibilities**:- Responsible for the translation of business requirements into specific process aligned infrastructure designs for Siemens DI (Digital Industries) Software solutions adhering to performance and scalability requirements.- Work with Product Development in the creation of the product roadmap and influence the design of new product functionality and industry solutions.- In line with project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption by leveraging the complete Siemens Delivery framework.- Act as infrastructure consultant to strategic Zone Sales/PreSales pursuits and Services projects, providing guidance through the complexity of infrastructure architecture options and the long-term roadmap for infrastructure solution.- Act as the Senior authority on infrastructure architectural designs, deployment topology, including cloud deployment strategy to address business problems.- Provides direction for infrastructure related process design, process integration and process change activities either internally or at customer sites.- Consults on strategic and/or complex Enterprise Programs across Zone, of diverse scope that require specialist expertise and technical leadership. May act as Lead Infrastructure Architect for specific Global programs.- Works under self-management within project and/ or task constraints and will determine solutions, methods, and procedures on assignments/projects.- Provides guidance and mentoring to other infrastructure architects within immediate project or program, on the architecture of multi -domain DI solutions to other Services Solution Architects and consultants.- Participate in Zone/Global Infrastructure Architecture Community of Practice, promoting adoption into the Zones and ensuring that knowledge and lessons learnt are shared across Zone boundaries.- Leverage relevant templates in the leadership of project solutions in own specialist area, and curate best practices and templates, providing mentoring in the creation and adoption of templates and solutions within the SDI Delivery Framework.**Requirements**:- Minimum 10 years of AWS Systems and Infrastructure technical architectural planning, design, and implementation knowledge.- Solution design and Product Support for customers is preferable.- Understanding business objectives of the company and supporting cloud-based solutions to facilitate those objectives.- Technical guidance to team and cross-functions coordination.- Work toward standard stable and secure platforms or frameworks, perform architectural analysis.- Standard practices for troubleshooting and performance tuning for OS, Network, DB etc.- Best practices to design, implement, manage, and monitor systems and infrastructure.- Resource planning, contingency planning, project co-ordination and resource alignment.- Technical knowledge documentation and collaboration.- Experience in Competency Planning, Resource Up-skilling, trainings.Define and implement best practices for resource optimization, cost optimization- Working knowledge of core engineering solutions with hands-on knowledge.- Hands-on knowledge on AWS Systems and infrastructure - AWS core services such as EC2, ECS, Network (VPC, VPN, Security, Gateway, Load balancer & HA) and Databases Servers (Oracle, MSSQL, RDS), 3-Tier Architecture, Infrastructure and Application Stack understanding.**We are Siemens**A collection of over 377,000 minds building the future, one day at a time in over 200diversity of the communities we work in.
