Japan Consumption Tax Return
Description
The project aims to address timing difference between the net book value and the tax written down value.The project aims to establish a mapping linkage between the Japan consumption tax working file and the consumption tax return.
Scope
(a) Collaborate with the Fixed assets team, PWC auditors and PWC tax consultants to identify timing differences between net book value to tax written down value. Analyse and identify non qualifying assets on year to year basis. Explore variations between the original MYR and translated MYR. Data collection and analysis
(b)Logging into the Tax System: Understand the filing process by accessing the tax system.Requirement Analysis: Identify the necessary information for filing the return.Mapping Preparation: Create a template and desktop procedure to guide the mapping process from the working file to the return.

Deliverables
(a) Gain an understanding of deferred taxation and reconciliation on the timing differences between net book value and tax written down value. Create a standardized template for accurate comparisons.
(b) Gain a comprehensive understanding of the information required for the consumption tax return. Successfully map the relevant figures from the working file to the consumption tax return.
