We are looking for a qualified and driven individual with experience as an IT Support and Systems to join our dynamic Education team.
The IT System and Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the school's IT systems with a focus on iSAMS, the school's management information system (MIS). This role involves overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the system, troubleshooting issues, ensuring data integrity, and supporting staff and students with any IT-related needs. The specialist will also work on integrating various other systems with iSAMS and providing IT support across the school.
Responsibilities: 1. iSAMS Management and Support Oversee the administration of iSAMS, ensuring the system runs smoothly for users across all departments (academic, administrative, and management).Provide day-to-day support to end users, resolving issues related to iSAMS access, functionality, and data accuracy.Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of iSAMS modules (student records, attendance, timetable, grading, communication, etc).Train staff on the use of iSAMS modules and create user guides/documentation for ease of use.Ensure data integrity and manage data security within the iSAMS system, in line with PDPA or relevant data protection regulations.Coordinate with the iSAMS support team for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that require vendor assistance.Perform regular system updates, and backups, and ensure the smooth implementation of any upgrades or new modules. 2. IT Systems and Infrastructure • Provide support for the school's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, hardware, software, and security.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure system availability.
• Manage the school's database, ensuring proper data integration between iSAMS and other systems.
• Assist with user account management (creation, deletion, and maintenance) across various school systems.
• Work closely with the IT team to provide a seamless IT experience for staff, students, and administration.
3. Help Desk Support
• Provide first-line support for all IT-related queries, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems reported by teachers, students, and staff in a timely manner.
• Maintain an IT helpdesk ticketing system, tracking requests, incidents, and resolutions.
• Prioritize urgent requests, especially those impacting school operations.
4. Integration and Development
• Work on the integration of iSAMS with other third-party systems used in the school.
• Assist in the development of automated reports, workflows, and custom features within iSAMS to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with different departments to ensure their IT requirements are met and support projects aimed at improving school systems.
5. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of the IT infrastructure, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare regular reports on system usage, issues, and improvements.
• Keep accurate records of all licenses, warranties, and support agreements for IT hardware and software, including iSAMS.
6. Continuous Improvement
• Stay updated with the latest trends and updates in school management systems, particularly iSAMS.
• Recommend and implement system improvements or new technology that can support the school's goals.
• Evaluate the school's IT needs regularly and suggest strategic upgrades or enhancements to better support users and increase efficiency.
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge and understanding of iSAMS (compulsory) and integration with different modules.
• iSAMS implementation/rollout/support experience with cycles of related modules delivered.
• Hands-on with the related configurations and able to deliver and govern high-quality work for
• Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and Technical Specifications Documents (TSD).
• Strong knowledge of data conversion tools and data conversion methodology.
• Strong understanding of iSAMS coding.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of iSAMS integration.
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate fluency in the local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Certified iSAMS Professional and experience in an education environment is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in iSAMS modules.
