Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software and hardware support, providing technical assistance to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. As an IT Support Technician, you will diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues, install and configure software and hardware components, and provide end-user support for various IT-related problems.
Responsibilities: Level 1 support (remove/onsite), maintenance, and resolution of hardware and software issues related to end users on software related issues.Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.Troubleshoot software errors and recommend appropriate solutions.Diagnose hardware issues and replace or repair defective components.Conduct regular maintenance to ensure hardware longevity and performance.Collaborate with hardware suppliers for warranty claims and replacements.Respond to IT support requests and provide efficient problem resolution.Educate end-users on software and hardware usage best practices.Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.Assist in network installations and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.Collaborate with network administrators to ensure seamless connectivity.Monitor network performance and security to prevent downtime and breaches.Any other tasks as assigned by the technical manager.Qualifications: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues.Strong knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.Required language: English, Mandarin, Malay.
