About the roleThis is a full-timeIT System Analyst (Technical BA)position based inPetaling Jaya, SelangoratHong Leong Assurance Berhad , a leading insurance provider. As an IT System Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing and documenting business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of IT systems and applications.
What you'll be doing
Conduct in-depth requirements gathering and analysis to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop detailed user stories, process flows, and data models to guide the development team.
Working collaboratively with all working groups' HODs, members as well as stakeholders to drive deliverables forward.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between project goals and technical solutions.
Support the development team during implementation, testing, and deployment phases.
Perform system integration testing and user acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets business requirements.
Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents, user manuals, and release notes.
Implement and manage version control systems to track changes and ensure consistency across development environments.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system issues and enhancements.
Collaborate with product managers & project team to define the scope and features of new insurance products.
Collaborate with stakeholders, the product team, and third-party providers to ensure alignment with IT technology requirements, including QA processes, VAPT and remediation activities, and data model/mapping tasks.
Develop data models to capture and store customer information, policy details, and claims data.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather requirements.
Design and implement API integrations to connect various systems and streamline data flow.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of database queries to improve system efficiency.
Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business operations.
Develop automated scripts for routine tasks to enhance productivity and reduce manual effort.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in SQL, Rest APIs, JSON, IT Networking basic knowledge, Cloud Practitioner.
Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into technical requirements.
Proficient in requirements gathering, system analysis, and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and project management tools.
Understanding of technology and operational processes, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle communication at different levels, strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
