Are you looking to advance in your career? We have an amazing opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our West Africa team in Kumasi, Ghana. This role, reporting to the Business Line Manager- Accounts & Applications Management, will be responsible for creating and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers throughout Sales Area West Africa. You will be accountable for generating revenue development, maximizing customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for business expansion within the Sales Area's key accounts. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for targeted clients and engage with cross-functional teams to guarantee successful project execution and customer retention, as well as foresee future trends. You must be excited about the position and have strong ethical and professional standards.
About your job
Relationship Management:
Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs, objectives, and challenges.
Act as the main point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Regularly communicate with customers to address their inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Build rapport and trust with key stakeholders within customer organizations, including executives, project managers, and technical teams.
Account Development and Growth:
Identify opportunities to expand business within key accounts by understanding their future requirements and aligning them with the company's capabilities.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to propose tailored solutions that meet customers' needs and maximize revenue potential.
Prepare and present persuasive proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to secure new projects or contracts with key clients.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively identify new business opportunities.
Project Coordination and Execution:
Collaborate closely with project managers and technical teams to ensure the successful execution of projects within key accounts, meeting client expectations in terms of quality, timeline, and budget.
Serve as a liaison between customer and internal teams, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to customers and promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
Client Retention and Satisfaction:
Continuously assess customer satisfaction levels, conduct customer reviews, and identify areas for improvement to ensure long-term retention.
Proactively resolve customer issues, seek feedback, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, identify opportunities for collaboration, and enhance the overall client experience.
Reporting and Analysis:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, project status, and revenue forecasts.
Generate reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to key accounts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Monitor and report on competitors' activities, market trends, and customer behavior to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Other
Adhere to all SMR Policies and Procedures, especially the SHEQ policies.

Your profile
You must be fluent in the Chinese language, both verbally and in writing.
Previous experience working with a Chinese multinational company and understanding of Chinese work culture will be considered a merit.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Technical background is preferred.
Previous experience with a Chinese multinational company will be considered as a merit.
Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technological role within the mining, construction, energy, or related sectors, will be considered as a merit.
Competency in LEAN Six Sigma methodology will be added advantage.
Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of engineering principles and processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at various levels.
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and achieving sales targets.
Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and proposal writing skills.
Strong project management and coordination abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft 365 Suite, and other relevant tools.
Advanced English proficiency, both verbally and in writing.
Detail-oriented and an excellent problem solver.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
