Responsibilities: 1. Measure and assess the quantity and quality of logs or timber using scaling techniques and industry-standard measurement tools. 2. Identify and classify timber species and log grades based on established guidelines and specifications. 3. Calculate log volumes, board feet, or cubic meters based on scaling methods and formulas. 4. Ensure accurate scaling results by accounting for taper, sweep, defects, and other factors that may affect log quality or volume. 5. Inspect logs or timber for defects, such as rot, insect damage, or excessive knots, and determine their impact on quality and value. 6. Verify adherence to quality specifications, such as log length, diameter, or log sorting requirements. 7. Communicate any discrepancies or quality issues to relevant stakeholders and collaborate on resolving them. 8. Record scaling data, log grades, species, and other relevant information in designated systems or paperwork. 9. Generate scaling reports, tally sheets, or invoices to document scaled timber and facilitate transactions. 10. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements. 11. Provide guidance and assistance to logging personnel regarding scaling requirements and procedures. Requirement: - Certificate in Agriculture / Plantation Management or related discipline. - At least 5 years of working experience in a similar field. - Strong leadership and good organizational skills. - Good interpersonal and communication skills. - Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. - Experience in peat development will be an advantage.Seedling, nurture, nursery, laboratory research and development for growing of plants for forest plantation and related activities.SPM / O Level / SKM Level 1 / SKM Level 2 / SKM Level 3 or Equivalent
