Together, we're the next BIG thing in data.**Job Description**:**RESPONSIBILITIES*****BROAD FUNCTIONS**:Source and manage the Indirect Materials commodities specializing in Metal category, includes Sheet Metal, Hardware, Spare Parts and ToolingCommodity Knowhow and Management in Strategic Sourcing for Fabrication Tools to build of Hard-Disk DrivesDigilent and deep market analysis of metals commodity for supporting strategic plan implementation**Regular**- Perform sourcing events and responsible for RFQ activities related to the purchases of materials, equipment, and services- Support strategic initiatives, cost savings and contract management by utilizing should-cost models- Negotiate pricing, lead time, commercial terms, incoterm, MOQ, contract renewals, etc- Collaborate internally to meet stakeholders needs, ensure alignment with company's strategic direction and drive key performance measures (KPI)- Identify suppliers based on stakeholder requirements and supplier capability- Engage in supplier development and risk assessment to optimize cost, supply and quality- Ensure the supplier complies with the company's rules and regulations, RBA requirement, Ethics and Compliance requirement, Trade Compliance, IMS Compliance- Generate reports in tracking and meeting cost savings goal and initiatives**Qualifications**:**Educational, Certification & Licenses Required**:- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field of study**Skill Required**:- Excellent communication skill with global sites and suppliers, fluent spoken and written English as a business counterpart located globally- Practical experience in Oracle**Experience**:- Minimum 5 years' experience in category management in manufacturing environment, procurement or supply chain related experienceAdditional InformationWestern Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
