Manager - Application Systems & IT Projects (Hicom-Glenmarie, Shah Alam)Act as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned IT applications or systems, driving technical know-how, functionality and usability in both user and business operations.
Provide high-level system support to users, evaluate system need or change requests and conduct feasibility studies for new IT software implementations or enhancements.
Collaborate with users to understand workflows, processes and business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Assist in business process design reengineering, identifying improvement opportunities to reduce manual inefficiencies through digital solutions.
Source, design and coordinate system solutions with internal and external stakeholders, providing justification and recommendations for decision-making.
Lead or support project implementation activities, including scope management, execution, progress tracking and risk identification.
Plan, drive, support and coordinate all stages of task or project implementations under SDLC. Manage project deliverables as assigned.
Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management.
Role Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience.
Proven expertise in application system support, operations, planning, development and IT project implementation, preferably with enterprise or manufacturing backgrounds.
Hands-on experience with application systems such as MES or IT solutions for production floors.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in SDLC practices and activities.
Familiarity with programming tools such as .NET framework and SQL scripting is an added advantage.
Technical knowledge in process design, flowcharts, data models and database structures with the ability to organize and coordinate IT implementation activities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong logical thinking to analyze business needs and recommend effective solutions.
A proactive and open-minded approach to leading discussions, resolving issues and driving assignments to completion.
Strong organizational, detail-oriented and confident communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and explore innovative alternatives for improvements.
Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese to effectively communicate with stakeholders across different levels and regions.
