Position: JR70531 Manager Financial Accounting
This is a challenging role in a fast-paced, multinational environment. We are seeking a leader with a broad range of finance experience who can grow and develop corporate and international finance functions at Micron in Penang.
ResponsibilitiesOversee functional financial accounting activities including reviewing journal entries and reporting.
Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly close processes and day-to-day operations for global entities in accordance with US GAAP while ensuring proper maintenance of statutory financials.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable international and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations, as appropriate.
Identify and highlight any risks/fraud and mitigate with proper controls and solutions.
Lead and drive process improvement, automation, and standardization and other assigned projects/tasks.
Proactively engage with partners to resolve challenges and recommend solutions, improvement where necessary.
Coach and mentor team members.
Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships.
Establish plans and objectives for the functional group and at organization level for Global Finance Center of Excellence.
Key Skills/CompetenciesStrong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local country accounting standards.

Demonstrate agility and flexibility to maneuver ad hoc tasks, projects and challenges.
Japanese or other foreign language skill set will be added advantage.
Education & Experience RequiredQualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), Degree in Finance/Accounting.
More than 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Reporting; high-tech industry.
More than 5 years in leadership role.
Experience in automation projects, LEAN, 6-Sigma or RPA, preferred.
Shared service experience in fixed assets and/or audit experience preferred.
