ResponsibilitiesLead and control overall plant production by regular and rigorous assessment of plant, unit and equipment performance and work activities to ensure that the plant is operated and maintained in accordance with design intent, established procedures, guidelines and practices to ensure sustained reliability and performance.
Lead and drive the overall production planning activities to ensure that the entire Ethoxylates and Polyols product business chain is optimized to meet the sales plan.
Ensure specialty chemical supply reliability through proper planning and resolution of any issues to maximize chemical availability to meet production targets.
Lead and drive the chemical specialty product quality assurance through continuous evaluation and improvement of process technology to sustain the highest level of customer satisfaction and enforce strict compliance with quality assurance standards while meeting varying specifications such as operating modes and conforming to Environmental Rules and Regulations on waste treatment disposal.
Strategize and plan shutdown and turnaround activities to ensure that all equipment is maintained as required by established standards, design intent and best practices to meet all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Manage and control production department activities expenditures and institute control measures through consistent review of resources and inculcation of a cost-conscious culture amongst staff and evaluate available options and approve the most cost-effective technical solutions to be implemented while satisfying project and operational requirements to ensure alignment with the business plan.
Advise and guide the application of sound engineering technology and best practices through the adoption of industry engineering best practices, enforcement of relevant engineering standards and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements to ensure plant reliability and integrity.
Ensure customer requirements are met by collaborating with relevant divisions/departments on specialty chemical production and ensure regular review of performance delivery involving all parties in the specialty chemical chain.
Drive and enforce the implementation of HSE action plans in compliance with PCGPCC HSE-MS and regulatory requirements in all engineering and maintenance activities including driving the development of HSE and PSM-Mechanical Integrity procedures and instructions applicable to the Engineering department, and participate in the formulation of sound HSE standards for PCGPCC staff and contractors with the aim of zero Lost Time Incident (LTI), asset damage, and environmental infringement.
