Responsibilities:·Product SupportØMaintain and optimise existing test procedures to ensure sustainability of product quality and production throughput.ØProvide general technical product support to manufacturing personnel to facilitate the maintenance of (and where possible, the improvement of) product quality and throughput.ØInterface with design engineers to resolve product technical issues.ØUpdate test plans and processes for existing productsØUse continuous improvement as a tool for improving test processes, product quality and throughput.ØImplement test and design change into production·New Product IntroductionØCollaborate with design engineers during new product introduction (NPI) to ensure that designs are suitable for manufacturing and test.ØPrepare test plans for NPI from product conception through to volume production.This includes prototyping and manufacturing trial runs (MTR).ØDesign automated test processes, jig and fixtures required to manufacture and test new products against the test plan.ØPrepare capital expenditure and coordinate the purchase of new test equipment.ØInstall and commission appropriate facilities including test equipment, jigs and fixtures, procedures and control mechanisms.Facilities are to be optimised for test effectiveness with respect to the capital cost, test times, factory throughput, field performance and quality of the product.ØDefine test measures and controls to be applied during manufacturing trial runs (MTR).ØReview manufacturing and test data against product requirements during the NPI process, in particular at prototype and MTR phases.·Process Control And DocumentationØAnalyse non-conformance data to identify product and process weaknesses.ØImplement systems to monitor processes and communicate process performance to operators and management.This includes statistical process control.ØImplement maintenance systems for test facilities and review existing processes regularly to assess their suitability and effectiveness.ØInvestigate corrective action issues.ØDocument all process, jigs and fixtures as per company documentation standards·Training And DevelopmentØMaintain personal knowledge in relation to Company's(existing and new) products, test facilities, test equipment, application software and measurement techniques.ØPrepare training resources and conduct training for test technicians in relation to the operation and maintenance of test equipment, test processes and measurement methods.ØResearch the latest developments in measurement, test and manufacturing technologies and their application.ØAssist in developing a manufacturing vision and strategy to provide a world-class integration & test facility·People and PerformanceØContribute to a safe work environment by complying with Company's Work Health and Safety System and safe work practices.ØEnsure business processes and tasks undertaken are consistent with the company's Quality Operating System.ØContribute to a collaborative team and work environment to achieve high performance, ongoing learning and improvement.ØBuild effective professional relationships and communications that reflect the Company group's Core Ideology and Code of ConductSpecial Requirements:·Regular domestic or international travel.·Training 1-2 months in Adelaide, Australia.
·Irregular work outside of traditional operating hours may be required.Qualifications:·Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or related fieldExperience, Knowledge and Skills:·Minimum 8 years' experience within an electronics manufacturing business.·Experience in writing software code (preferably in LabVIEW and Python)·Demonstrated experience in electronic circuit design, analysis and fault finding.·Knowledge in test instrument operation and process automation·Applied knowledge of general electronic measurements·Research, report writing and effective presentation of information work instruction and SOP-writing.·Intermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Office, MS Excel, and other relevant software applications.·Working knowledge in relational databases (preferably MS SQL) ·Able to maintain high work standards and committed to quality·Demonstrated practical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills·Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills·Able to prioritise competing demands and operate with a sense of urgency where required.·Able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision ·Creative problem-solving, initiative, and excellent customer service·Able to work as a team member within the ethos and values of Company:ØCan DoØHigh PerformingØCustomer DrivenØTrust and Integrity Sub Specialization : Engineering;Electrical / Electronics / Semi-conductor Type of Employment : Permanent Minimum Experience : 8 Years Work Location : Penang If you encounter difficulties, please click here for technical assistance.
