Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Trading copper and aluminium analysing supply, demand, and price trends to generate profit
Primarily working with pure ingots and cathodes, focussing on trading physical copper and aluminium
Supporting the existing trade team, to develop out a specialised book in copper and aluminium using strategies that optimize market opportunities and risk management
Liaising with the derivatives team to mitigate risks from price fluctuations in the physical metal markets
Role reports to general manager of trading
Key Qualifications / Experience4+ years experience trading refined/pure copper and aluminium is key. Experience in secondary products such as scrap is also a plus
Candidate should have an established book of business that they are able to bring to this role
Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region is preferred
Candidate should be adaptable and a fast learner, especially if they are less experienced in the APAC region
Role is to be based in Singapore
