Essential Responsibilities • In EPC phase: witness and validate hot commissioning completeness, focus on Grid regulatory tests etc. together with the specialists in the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Centre of Excellence (COE)
• Implement operational strategy consistent with achieving maximum plant efficiency to meet contractual requirements in the most safe, reliable, economical and environmentally manner
• Develop, record and retain applicable plant operations and maintenance data
• Carry out root cause analysis and troubleshoot malfunctions and operating defects
• Support development and implementation of operating procedures for major systems using GE /procedures and equipment Vendors' instructions
• Initiate facility modifications and upgrades to enhance plant reliability and performance
• Work in cooperation with the O&M Centre of Excellence (CoE) team,Engineering and other O&M support functions
• Support optimization of plant operating strategies with the aim of achieving lower operation cost and/or increased efficiency and output
• Implement plant operating logs covering critical plant operating parameters and conduct necessary review and analysis to proactively identify potential problems
• Support the Owner to coordinate with the Purchaser and fuel suppliers for load management and fuel supply requirements respectively
• Understand Health & Safety (H&S) risks / hazards and environmental// legislative aspects / impacts related to work activities
• Provide coverage for shift rotation if needed
Setup and implement training plan for the Owner's staff in cooperation with the GE`s training departments
• Carry out hands-on training for the Owner's staff
• Monitor progress in training of the Owner's staff and adjust training as required in cooperation with the Contractor training departments and the GE O&M Centre of Excellence (CoE)
Role Summary/Purpose
In EPC phase: prepare the Power Plant to meet the contractual technical guarantees, implement procedures for continuous control & improvement and install the KPI reporting
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Services).
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Station Management
- Knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in operation of a F class turbines or turbines capacities between 100MW to 250MW within a combined cycle gas turbine power station would be advantageous
- Exposure to Commissioning
- Knowledge of typical legislation associated with Power Station maintenance
- Understanding of operation and training concepts and practices
- Experience in operation of relevant Power Stations
- This is a fixed term contract for a max term of 4 years.
