As a Plant Production Engineer at OCIM SDN BHD, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes within our plant operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring that production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while meeting quality requirements.
Design and implement production processes and workflows for optimal efficiency.
Monitor and evaluate production operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and maintenance, to optimize production processes.
Manage and coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
Develop and maintain production documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality control records.
Lead and train production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
Implement and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
Participate in equipment selection, installation, and validation processes.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of raw materials and equipment.
Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
