Venator Asia Sdn Bhdis a subsidiary of Venator Materials PLC headquartered in UK. Venator is a leading chemical company focused on the development and manufacture of Titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives.
Venator Asia Sdn Bhd is based at Teluk Kalong Industrial Estate in Kemaman Terengganu. Our Manufacturing Plant is the only producer of Titanium Dioxide pigments in the Asia region. We are now looking for aProcurement Lead.
The role ofProcurement Leadwill be based at our Plant at Teluk Kalong, Kemaman Terengganu.
Responsibilities:
All duties are to be carried out at all times in compliance with all Venator Corp. and Venator EHS, business conduct policies and guidelines.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely delivery of goods and services.
Manage the procurement process for capital projects, including budgeting, vendor selection, and contract negotiation, to support the organization's investment initiatives.
Lead procurement activities for projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints while mitigating risk and maximizing value.
Oversee the procurement of high-value goods and services, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to optimize cost savings and minimize supply chain disruptions.
Develop and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and fostering positive supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Implement effective inventory management practices to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and ensure availability of critical materials and supplies to support operational needs.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, fostering collaboration, transparency, and mutual value creation to drive long-term strategic partnerships.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in Procurement/Project Procurement.
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain or any related field.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation, with good spreadsheet skills.
Ability to effectively manage the tender process, present commercial evaluations to board committees, and drive strategic procurement initiatives that deliver value and mitigate risks for the organization.
Previous experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, particularly in driving procurement initiatives.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to drive favorable outcomes in contract negotiation, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data, identify opportunities for process optimization, and develop data-driven procurement strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams.#J-18808-Ljbffr
