About the role
At Benchmark Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd, we are seeking a talented and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing our manufacturing operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient production of our high-quality products.
What you'll be doing Level I
• Analyzes production schedule and assigns jobs to line workers needed to meet delivery dates.
• Plans work assignments for group on basis of priority and worker skills.
• Assigns duties to workers and evaluates worker performance.
• Implements company policies and procedures.
• Examines product according to knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards to ensure acceptability.
• Reviews and compiles operations records such as yield, scrap, and maintenance costs.
• Reviews work orders, product specifications, technical instructions and facility requirements, requisition tools, equipment and supplies for section.
• Enters and verifies employees work time into system.
• Adapts easily to changing programs; flexible to do tasks assigned.
Level II • All the position responsibilities listed above for Level I.
• Participates and/or leads Customer Support and Quality Improvement teams in order to continually improve product quality, improve thru put, and reduce downtime.
• Acts as a backup for the Production Manager as needed.
What we're looking for Minimum 2 years' experience in a production supervision or team leadership role; contract manufacturing preferredEffectively mentors employeesStrong technical understanding of production processes and equipmentExcellent problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skillsProven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environmentDrives solutions to planning issues with direction from senior management.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levelsFamiliarity with relevant health, safety and quality regulations and standardsA relevant diploma or degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferredWhat we offer
