About the roleWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Project Assistant to join our dynamic team at Cahaya Society in Sandakan, Sabah. As a Project Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful implementation of our community development initiatives. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the local community.
What you'll be doing
Providing administrative and logistical support for project implementation, including scheduling, record-keeping, and resource management
Assisting with the coordination of project activities, events, and stakeholder engagement
Gathering and compiling data for project reporting and monitoring purposes
Maintaining effective communication with project partners, volunteers, and community members
Contributing to the development and refinement of project plans and strategies
Participating in team meetings and collaborating with colleagues to ensure project objectives are met
What we're looking for
Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as community development, social work, or project management
1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit or community development sector
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management software
Passion for community development and a commitment to making a positive difference
Fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
