**Job Description:**

Axiata Group Berhad is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Remote Accounts Payable Associate. This entry-level position is ideal for energetic and independent candidates looking to start their careers in finance and accounting. As part of our dynamic and rapidly evolving work environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely management of our accounts payable functions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Invoice Processing:**
- Review, verify, and process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls during the invoice approval process.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.

2. **Payment Management:**
- Assist in preparing payment batches and coordinating payment approvals.
- Schedule payments according to terms and maintain a schedule for all due obligations.
- Monitor payment status and follow up on outstanding invoices.

3. **Reconciliation:**
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

4. **Vendor Communications:**
- Communicate professionally with vendors to resolve billing issues and answer inquiries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to foster timely resolutions.

5. **Reporting:**
- Assist in generating accounts payable reports and analysis for management review.
- Provide supporting documentation for month-end closing activities.

6. **Process Improvement:**
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.
- Assist in implementing best practices and enhancements to streamline operations.

**Requirements:**

**Educational Background:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.

**Experience:**
- No prior work experience required; however, internships or coursework related to finance or accounting are a plus.

**Skills:**
- **Technical Skills:** Basic understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) preferred but not mandatory.
- **Personality Traits:**
- Energetic and proactive, able to take initiative and act independently.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong strategic planning abilities to assist in organizing workload and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and team members.
