The R&D Assistant supports the research and development team by performing administrative tasks, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and assisting in the development of new products, processes, or technologies. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Research Support
Assist in conducting experiments, tests, and trials as directed by the R&D Manager or scientists.
Collect, record, and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of new products or processes.
Perform literature reviews to gather information on relevant technologies, trends, or scientific advancements.
Product Development
Support the development of prototypes and samples.
Participate in product testing, quality control, and improvement activities.
Assist in compiling reports and documentation related to product trials and outcomes.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory notes, records, and logs.
Prepare presentations, graphs, and summaries to share research findings.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in documentation.
Administrative Support
Manage and organize laboratory supplies, equipment, and materials.
Coordinate schedules and meetings for the R&D team.
Handle data entry and filing tasks to support the department.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment in product development processes.
Provide feedback and input during brainstorming sessions and team discussions.
Qualifications
Education : Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a similar discipline)
Experience : Previous experience in a laboratory or R&D setting is a plus.
Skills :Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment handling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attributes :Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Enthusiasm for learning and innovation.The role is primarily based in a laboratory or office setting, with occasional exposure to production environments. Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
