JOB OVERVIEW Retail Merchandising Executive are responsible for ensuring that the right amount of goods is available in store and are being sold at the right price. Through shrewd planning, careful purchasing and sensible promotions profits can be enhanced. Merchandisers also assess the needs of individual stores and how they might differ based on factors such as store size and their target demographics.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Working closely with the team to plan product rangesMeeting with suppliers, distributors, and analystsManaging budgetsPredicting sales and profitsNegotiating quantities and delivery timescalesSupervising and training junior staffManaging levels and distribution of stockHandling supply/production problems as they ariseSetting stock promotions/price reductions as appropriateMaking financial presentations to senior managersAssessing sales performance of different ranges. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel with experience in creating PIVOT tables, VLOOKUP, and formulasExperience in strategic marketing goal creation and implementation based on needs and demandWorking knowledge of client relationships along with marketing promotions, customer focus and territory managementDemonstrated ability to create a daily competitive analysis and distribute reports on a weekly basisExperience in product knowledge with a fine attention to detail while taking the initiative to promote innovative ideas to the teamThorough understanding of organizational reputation and merchandise enhancement prospectsRequired knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other inventory-tracking softwareMust be an outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environmentCapability to forecast emerging trends and make creative decisions to promote smooth progression of retail relationships
