Responsibilities:**1. Developing and Implementing Safety Policies**:- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices.- Conduct regular reviews and updates of safety policies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.**2. Safety Inspections and Audits**:- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.- Document findings, report violations, and recommend corrective actions to management.**3. Training and Education**:- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees on topics such as hazard identification, proper equipment usage, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.- Provide ongoing safety education and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety among employees.**4. Incident Investigation and Reporting**:- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.- Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and near misses and report them to management and regulatory agencies as required.**5. Safety Equipment and PPE Management**:- Ensure that appropriate safety equipment and personal protective gear are provided to workers and are used correctly.- Regularly inspect and maintain safety equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.**6. Regulatory Compliance**:- Stay current with all applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards related to the construction industry.- Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and other relevant regulatory agencies.**7*. **Emergency Preparedness:*- Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication plans.- Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures and train employees on proper response protocols.**8. Safety Committee Participation**:- Participate in safety committees and meetings to discuss safety issues, review incidents, and develop strategies for improving safety performance.- Collaborate with management and employees to address safety concerns and implement solutions.**Qualifications**:- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, ASP) preferred.- Proven experience as a Safety Health Officer in the construction industry.- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field is additional.**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Health insurance- Opportunities for promotionSchedule:- Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:- Performance bonusAbility to commute/relocate:- Kuching: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)Application Question(s):- What is expected salary?
