Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and implement work programs within the approved budget to achieve a zero accident and casualty rate in operations.
Coordinate, support and advise management on health and safety matters.
Establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure compliance with health and safety responsibilities.
Ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace environment.
Adhere to and communicate Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Ensure statutory obligations are met for health, safety and welfare including training and reporting.
Complete and review risk assessments for work equipment and operations.
Document and investigate accidents, implementing recommended improvements.
Conduct safety inspections and report fire drills and alarms accurately.
Maintain comprehensive health and safety records.
Establish a program of documented inspections, audits and health & safety checks, including structured training.
Liaise with government agencies and external health & safety consultants for training and services.
Manage Health & Safety Committee meetings and follow up on action plans.
Keep updated on relevant health, safety & welfare legislation and communicate changes to the management.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma / Bachelor's Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional in Health and Safety.
Possess a Green Book issued by JKKP.
5 years of working experience as Safety & Health Officer in plantation & palm oil mill industry.
