Sales Engineer Specialist, Electrical Markets

Responsibilities: Understand sales goals, responsible for sales performance, achieve sales objectives as set by management for the specific products in the assigned partner/account/territory/segment. Manage sales territory/segment with general supervision and assistance. Apply business unit marketing policies, procedures, and plans. Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute the most effective and efficient promotion program to boost up sales for key partner/accounts/end user. Initiate and execute impactful activities to penetrate and generate demand, secure wining opportunities and gain market share. Establish and maintain good relationships with end user, partners, key accounts, and collaborate with technical and sales teams, channels team & support functions and vendors. Represent business unit products and services to customers/prospect and provide appropriate sales support and services to customers and distributors. Ensure to get the best service level rate by doing intense communication with end user/contractors, distributors. Manage and develop the electrical market in any area appointed by supervisor, monitor electrical market trend, competitor activities and proactively report all new or unusual pertinent market conditions to supervisor as well as product performance information. Manage distributors' Business Plan regarding to sales out; market penetration; demand generation, monthly distributor Business Review and forecast info. Handle simple or moderate complaint independently, request for instruction and assistance from supervisor in handling situations which require either greater or different experience or knowledge. Discuss key channel/key account plans and obstacles with supervisor frequently, and develop new channels independently. Travel as needed for communication, and interaction with customers. Update market information, obstacles to supervisor frequently and provide sales forecast. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher from a reputable university. Minimum 5 years of related work experience as sales engineer, business development or project engineer, in reputable companies within the related industry. Good knowledge of customer segments and their needs in the related market. Good experience within Malaysia's electrical markets, Power Utilities, panel builders (switch gear panel manufacturing) and Mechanical & Electrical (ME) contractors. Strong selling skills, negotiation skills, excellent presentation skills, influencing skills, communication skills, written and verbal communication in both English and local languages. Proficient in MS Office. Good analytical & interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team. Good leadership skills and is able to work in a cross functional team. Good time and territory management skills. A high achiever who is persistent, has high integrity, fast with response, and possesses a winning mindset Has experience handle projects, tenders, contracts, etc. in reputable electrical company Only qualified candidates will be contacted for interview.
