Who we are looking for
As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining our web based experiences in a collaborative team environment. You will liaise with senior technical team members to ensure your solution is in line with our technical vision. You will monitor, maintain and continuously resolve issues in production. Besides, you will form part of a cross functional agile team consisting of BA, QA, Product managers, designers and fellow developers. You will be working with distributed teams located in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, China and Australia. You will follow agile software development practices such as test driven development, continuous delivery and pair programming and take responsibility for the technical quality of your solution. As well, you will use your skills and experience to train and mentor junior team members.
Designing, coding, testing and deploying quality web applications to meet the needs of our consumers
Maintaining existing products and experiences, including bug fixes and “Business As Usual” feature enhancements
Supporting and maintain applications in production environment with minimal downtime –
you build it, you run it!
Working with stakeholders to design high quality solutions that meet the needs of our users
Contributing to and leading the implementation of major features
Closely work with Tech Leads and Lead developers to continuously improve the development, architecture and operations aspect of the systems health
Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint and release planning, reviews, retrospectives, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
5+ years of work experience in Software Application development
Advanced understanding of building responsive experience with understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap is an added advantage
Strong knowledge in product development using open source languages, web application frameworks and libraries, such as React.JS, Node.JS, Redux
Always open to learning new development methods, technologies and programming languages
Experience in working across the tech stack – from Frontend to the Backend and everything in between; writing server-side JavaScript
Skilled in designing of high-performance dynamic web-based products and services, that scale to millions of users
Experience in writing clean code and refactoring techniques, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
Strong skills in building full stack web products using open source and cloud technologies. Familiar with Cloud Computing services (AWS) and associated technologies.
