Your Job Specs
-Market Intelligence: Research and Build a new target list of prospects from the Food Distribution Industry targeting % growth to the customer base.
-PR and Lead Nurturing: Attend high-value Food Services events or network sessions to build PR and develop opportunities. Engage with industry professionals as well as prospects.
-New Customer Acquisition: Manage a sales funnel, to effectively prospect, call, acquire and close new decision makers throughout the Food Services Industries: targets can be various: from Hotel Chains, to Restaurant Franchises to any other Food Services Businesses.
-Client Expansion Goals: As an ambitious sales individual you are welcome to provide input on what are the key client expansion goals you wish to focus on: whether this is % sales increase, % margin improvement rate per account or even speed improvement metrics or something else, we are looking for a sales professional with initiative and drive.
-Customer Retention Goals: The Food Service Industry is super sensitive and it runs almost 24/7. Customers are looking for more and more value- especially premium brands. As such, we are looking for you to adopt more of a value based sales approach to preserving and managing customers long term
-Service and Supply Chain Problem Analysis: As an intelligent sales person, you will have a keen eye on spotting key supply bottlenecks and quality issues that affect food (services). You will understand how to manage the sales process and push for improvements to deliver superior value.
-Database and Invoice Management: Yes, unfortunately all sales people need to do some paperwork, and we know that organized Sales Professional can be extremely efficient. If sales volume is high, the company will provide support, but your responsibilities will include (debt monitoring, collections follow up, logistics follow up as a great sales and logistics team work together with the internal team)

-The organisation runs a relatively flat structure and access to the Owners and Managing Director are available, this will inevitable lead to more visibility and faster growth.
-It's possible to be promoted to a variety of roles from here: Management, Operational Functions or more Analytical Functions as well (via lateral moves). Ideally we'd want a strong sales person to perform in the role for the medium to long term first to help with direct customer expansion

-As a strategic sales individual, you will be able to intelligently break down the Food Service Distribution Value Chain, understanding who the key decision makers are across respective industries and maintain a BD Funnel towards this.
-You will be someone who is excited about the 'value based sales' approach which targets the bundling of services, logistics and quality aspects of the food products together with price / cost in order to provide superior value and preserve margins for the organisation.
-You will be open to travel around central Malaysian regions.
-You will be knowledgeable about the Food Service Industry, its challenges and opportunities. Even better would be if you have genuine interest here.
-You will possess a strong and resilient mindset required to penetrate into new accounts.
-You will possess good time management skills.
-Be open to working alternative Saturdays
