The Software Developer will develop, support, and maintain various applications and associated infrastructure services across the Datapel group. Alongside technical prowess, we particularly look for individuals with a "can-do" attitude, a willingness to jump in and help with any problems, always looking for new ways to solve problems, and continued evaluation of work, process, and output to ensure great products get out in the best possible way.
Other key aspects of this role will include but not be limited to:
Support and maintain our internally developed Warehouse Management system (Winforms VB.NET/C#/VB6/SQL/ASP.NET)Working across regional boundaries with external technical groups and peers to ensure product quality, stability, and a determination to professionally manage and resolve potentially complex issues on a variety of different platforms and applications.Address problems reported by clients (internal/external) on software defectsProviding Software Upgrades. This may include Patching and Hot Fix deployment including fault finding, testing and rollbacks.Provide detailed analysis of Service Desk items relating to Application Support, including first and second level follow-up of identified issues.Assist with other technical services projects as required To be considered for this role your skills and attributes will include:
A strong programming background with JavaScript, JSON, Appache, VBA/VB6 is mustAnalytical thinking, fault finding & problem-solving skills are a must as is a solid background in Web Technologies such as HTML, Bootstrap CSS, REST API, JSONExperience with Frontend frameworks (DevExtreme, AngularJS,OData), HTTP servers (Apache, IIS) and databases (TSQL) is mustA background working within a Supply Chain, ERP or eCommerce environment is a benefit.Development experience in large enterprise-based systems with proven ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.Strong communication & decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize your work. Qualification Requirements:
