Test Calibration Senior/Staff Engineer

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.
Responsibilities:Carry out Optical Measuring Equipment Calibration activities in optical calibration lab. Analyse and work on the calibration & measurement problem when necessary.
Maintain ISO17025 Accredited Optical Calibration Lab to ensure the calibration standards are traceable to International Standards.
Deep understanding of ISO17025 accreditation requirements. Holding ISO17025 signatory role. Driving calibration lab toward documentation readiness and audit readiness.
Manage calibrator (golden units) generation & maintenance. Continue to drive for accuracy & efficiency improvement activities.
Diagnose and troubleshoot defective optical measuring equipment and perform in-house repair when necessary.
Manage Round-robin and interlab comparison activities between OS manufacturing sites.
Minimum Requirements:Minimum BSc/MSc Degree in Mechatronics / Electronics / Photonics / Physics.
Minimum 3 years experience in the related field e.g. Test Calibration.
Able to work in a team and carry out assigned tasks independently.
Possess international exposure e.g. workshop with counterparts / attending conferences.
Strong knowledge in LED / Sensor product knowledge in the area of electronics and/or semiconductors.
Experienced in Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), LabView, Python, Excel Macro & PowerPoint.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
